Hi Everyone! After the game jam's submission, 'Bye Ember' went through some changes and improvements, you can check out the details listed below:

  • Fixed the low audio issue and added some new sound effects.
  • Adjusted level layout (minor changes to level flow, obstacles and paths.)
  • New tips display available at the loading screen.
  • Pause menu screen upgrade (Look at Ember closely with a new pause camera!)
  • Added control info display at the in-game UI and pause menu.
  • Added a level timer display.
  • New result screen at the end of the level (Challenge and beat your own personal time!)
  • Movement speed and jumping height tweaks.
  • Red fig branches now heal 15 hp, changed from 25hp.
  • Added visual add-ons/level aesthetics.
  • PC version now has an installer setup.
  1. Mac OS File Descriptor Limits. Watchman states 'Only applicable on OS X 10.6 and earlier'. Though it's been observed this setting can remain incorrect on systems where the operation system was upgraded from a legacy version. Putting the following into a file named /etc/sysctl.conf on OS X will cause these values to persist across reboots.
  2. Ember requires Git to manage many of its dependencies. Git comes with Mac OS X and most Linux distributions. Windows users can download and run this Git installer.
  3. EmbER (short for ' Embedded Entertainment ROM ') is a JeOS Linux distribution based on Buildroot with the primary goal of providing a streamlined, completely optimised Pure Linux implementation of Kodi to Amlogic devices.
  4. Ember's a fox who loves adventure. Run, jump, and ride through 30+ colorful, fast-paced obstacle courses in a quest to get your missing soul back!
