About Snow Leopard Recovery Mode
An updated version of the Remote Desktop Connection client (version 2.0.1) is now available on the ITS Mac OS X Application downloads page. For Power PC applications such as Oracle Calendar or SciFinder Scholar, Snow Leopard will automatically install Rosetta even if it not selected during the upgrade process. For some reason or another you need to revert your 10.7/10.8 Mac back to OS X 10.6, I will show you how to do this. Sorry there is no easy way to restore Snow Leopard in a manner as easy as it was upgrading to Snow Leopard to Lion/Mt Lion. Roll up your sleeves and get your thinking cap on, I've written some very detailed instructions you need.

- Turn on your Mac. Simultaneously press and hold Command and R keys.
- Release the keys when you see an Apple logo, spinning globe, or other startup screens. If a window pops up and asks you to enter a password, do as required.
- After your computer finishes starting up, choose the option you want to use from the OS X Utilities menu.

- If the installer doesn't see your disk, or it says that it can't install on your computer or volume, you might need to erase your disk first.
- Don't put your Mac to sleep or closing its lid until the installation completes.

Steps to copy the installation media and boot into reinstaller:
- Open Disk Utility, and drag the Snow Leopard . dmg installer into the pane on the left.
- Select the Snow Leopard .dmg, and click the 'Restore' tab.
- Drag the Snow Leopard .dmg into the 'Source' field, then drag your newly created 'Snow Leopard Installer' partition into the 'Destination' field.
- Make sure 'Erase Destination' is checked. Then, click the 'Restore' button to proceed.
- Once you have set up Snow Leopard Installer partition, restart your computer and hold the 'Option' (or alt) key at bootup and select 'Snow Leopard Installer' from the list. The Snow Leopard Installer should successfully boot up and you can upgrade to Snow Leopard!
